🎙️Hi there, it’s Amy.
I grew up in the Washington, D.C. area on a steady diet of Pee-wee’s Playhouse, 99.1 WHFS, shows at the original 9:30 Club on F Street, and bands with long-haired guys from England. By third grade, I already knew I wanted to be a voice on the radio. The path here wasn’t exactly linear, but I’ve never stopped loving music—or talking about it—and that passion still fuels me every time I’m on the air.
While studying at NYU, I interned at Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Records and joined the team after graduation. Since then, I’ve built a 17-year career in radio, podcasting, and audio production—making great sound (and great stories) come to life. I specialize in engaging audiences, collaborating with talent, and keeping the airwaves FCC friendly.
I’m a music lover through-and-through—so much so that I had my dad’s 1955 Wurlitzer jukebox restored to its original glory, curating a personal collection of vintage 45 rpm records over several years. Listening to selections on the jukebox always brings me back to my childhood, when it was proudly displayed in my family’s 1950s-themed diner kitchen. Thanks, Dad!
And most importantly, I'm Barney’s mom—my 12-year-old Labrador–Basset Hound mix—and a lifelong animal lover. When I’m not making Barney Halloween costumes (utilizing my college art minor!) or taking him on long walks around our neighborhood, you can likely find me at a venue checking out live music.
I take pride in my professionalism, my attention to detail, and my flawless shopping-cart return record.
Thanks for stopping by!
